200 kVA Cummins-powered generator for a pig genetics company
A 200 kVA Blackwell generator with a Cummins engine, Stamford alternator and extended fuel tank protects bio-secure farm operations in Yorkshire.
The requirement
A Yorkshire pig breeding and research business relies on continuous power for ventilation, climate control, automated feeding and monitoring. It needed an automatic standby generator with long run time and easy maintenance.
Specification
Blackwell 200 kVA acoustic generator; Cummins 6LTAA-series diesel engine; Stamford alternator; Deep Sea DSE6120 MKIII controller; 400 V, 50 Hz; extended base fuel tank.
Installation
The set was load-bank tested before delivery. We handled delivery, electrical connection, start-up, transfer switch testing and handover, on a prepared concrete plinth with proper earthing and tidy cabling.
The result
The farm now switches seamlessly to generator power during grid interruptions, with extra fuel capacity for longer outages.
